The night slowly becomes a sexual cat-and-mouse game as their defenses are stripped away and they come to face the clichéd roles they've been playing. A trio of would-be pornographers puts out a casting call for their upcoming cinematic opus, but lackluster turnout and slapstick endeavors gleefully - and rather disconcertingly - beg the question of whether they'll ever achieve video penetration. A mockumentary look at the "mythical" 70s porn legend, Dick Ho, allegedly so well-endowed that rumors of a porn industry conspiracy to eliminate any knowledge of his existence persist today. LOOKING AHEAD - FRIDAY AT CINEKINK
On Friday, October 19th, at 6:30 pm, in a screening hosted by the lovely and irrepressible Ducky Doolittle, it's WEBCAM GIRLS, a funny and engaging visit with four outspoken pioneers of the girlcam frontier, along with HOT AND BOTHERED: FEMINIST PORNOGRAPHY, a look at women who are creating porn in line with their feminist sensibilities.
At 8:30 pm, in a screening sponsored by Cake NYC, CHICK FLICKS is a program of pornographic works created with a female audience in mind, debunking the silly notion that women aren't visually responsive beings - and proving that "what they want" isn't necessarily all about rose petals and soft, gauzy focus.
And at 10:30, OTHER PEOPLE'S MIRRORS is a pseudo sci-fi of pornographic proportions, centering around one woman's belief that by following the taboo-breaking directives of alien beings she will escape to her own nirvana.
