1) CINEKINK: DC … this weekend!
Help us take back Washington! Well, at least for a few days, as CineKink -- “the kinky film festival” -- brings its annual tour to the nation’s capital… this weekend.
With screenings to be held at the The Crucible, CINEKINK: DC will offer a specially-curated program of films and videos that celebrate and explore a wide and exciting world of sexual diversity, with works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit - and everything in between. Each night will also feature a sizzling after-party that continues upon the theme of the evening's film and video selections.
FRIDAY - 8 pm
The weekend festivities kick off on Friday at 8 PM with the BEST OF CINEKINK/2010, featuring a mix of award-winning shorts deemed the year’s best.
The program includes:

PLUS… a sexy afterparty!
SATURDAY - 6 pm
First up on Saturday, at 6 PM, the film shorts program YES, MISTRESS asks (and sometimes answers!) the question: “How may I be of service?"

And at 8 PM, MODERN LOVE IS AUTOMATIC is the darkly comic tale of an apathetic nurse who moonlights as a dominatrix, her aspiring model roommate, and the sad, strange world in which they live.
Afterwards, director Zach Clark, a DC-native, and actress Melodie Sisk, will be on hand for a post-screening Q&A about the film, which was shot locally.
AND THEN, be sure to stick around for a kinky, BSDM play party!

3) SCARLETEEN: STRAIGHT TALK FOR THOSE "BURGEONING DESIRES"
Founded in 1998, Scarleteen is an independent, grassroots sexuality education and support organization and website. Because Scarleteen doesn’t rely on government funding for their existence, they’re able to offer a comprehensive spectrum of information and create a safe, inclusive space for exploration and discovery—-one in which abstinence might be one answer, though, pragmatically, not the only prescribed possibility open to discussion.

4) SAVE THE DATES FOR CINEKINK NYC/2011 … AND SUBMIT!
We've set the dates! The next CineKink NYC is scheduled for its eighth annual appearance March 1-6, 2011.
The specially-curated festival, which kicks off our annual season, will feature a short film competition, audience choice awards, a special adult entertainment showcase, presentations, parties and a gala kick-off event, with a national screening tour to follow.
So, be sure to mark your calendar! And if you're a filmmaker, this is THE time to send us your film, as it's the entry point for the entire 2011 season.
We're seeking films and videos, of any length and genre, that explore and celebrate the wide diversity of sexuality. Dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions in film and television, we're looking to blur some boundaries and will be considering offerings drawn from both Hollywood and beyond, with works ranging from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn, mildly spicy to quite explicit--and everything in between.
Our early-bird deadline is already past news, but the regular deadline is November 26th and the FINAL deadline is December 10th.
