CineKink Brings Kinky Film Festival to Los Angeles
October 8-10, 2010

New York, NY; September 23, 2010 – CineKink — “the kinky film festival” — brings its annual, national tour to Los Angeles, October 8-10, 2010. With screenings at the Downtown Independent and the Echo Park Film Center, CINEKINK: LOS ANGELES will offer a specially-curated program of films and videos that celebrate and explore a wide and exciting world of sexual diversity, with works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit – and everything in between.

FRIDAY
The festivities kick off on Friday, October 8th at 8 pm, at the Echo Park Film Center (1200 N. Alvarado St., Los Angeles). Kicking things off, in a screening that also includes a collection of past festival offerings culled from CineKink’s talented roster of Los Angeles-based alumni filmmakers, a “boylesque” sensation takes the world of neo-burlesque by storm in WAXIE MOON, a thought-provoking and hilarious documentary look at one artist’s unlikely journey.

SATURDAY
On Saturday the action moves to the Downtown Independent (251 S. Main Street, Los Angeles) for a full day of screenings and celebration. Beginning at 2:00 PM a special industry showcase, BRING IT!, features a dazzling array of talent from today’s adult cinema, each representing a wide range of genres and visual styles, all stepping up with a hot sampling of their recent creative endeavors. At 4:00 PM, the film shorts program YES, MISTRESS asks (and sometimes answers!) the question: “How may I be of service?” At 6:00 PM, in the award-winning drama S&M JUDGE, a respected judge finds his job, reputation and family life in jeopardy after he and his wife begin to explore sadomasochism. At 8:00 PM, BEST OF CINEKINK features select, award-winning shorts deemed the year’s best during the festival’s latest annual run at CineKink NYC. And at 9:30 PM, it’s up to the rooftop for CINEKINK UNDER THE STARS, a festive celebration in the Downtown Independent’s beautiful roof garden, which will feature mixing and mingling, live performances and a kinky raffle!

SUNDAY
On Sunday, the closing screenings for CINEKINK: LOS ANGELES take place back at Echo Park Film Center.
