CineKink Festival Tour Kicks Off in Portland / Tuesday, August 9
 
New York, NY; July 12, 2016 – A special evening of films that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality will screen on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 as CineKink, “the kinky film festival,” returns to Portland for a hot, one-night stand. CineKink: PDX will begin at 7pm with a screening of the shorts program, “Best of CineKink/2016,” followed by the feature “Schnick Schnack Schnuck” at 9pm. Both screenings will take place at the Clinton Street Theater (2522 SE Clinton St.).

At 7 PM, “Best of CineKink/2016” is a collection of sexy shorts deemed the best during CineKink’s most recent festival run. This year’s assortment, with works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit, includes ‘Pepper’ (Patrick Aubert), ‘Dad in Mum’ (Fabrice Bracq), ‘Everybody Does It’ (Megan Brotherton), ‘Feminist Porn Filmmakers’ (Lora Hristova), ‘Wild Lovers’ (Isabel Dresler), ‘I Am a Tourist I Would Like to See Him Naked’ (Margie Schnibbe), ‘Locked’ (René de Sans and Mamana), ‘RITES’ (BunnyZ) and ‘An Appointment With My Master’ (Erika Lust).

And at 9 PM, the festival’s 2016 audience choice award winner, “Schnick Schnack Schnuck” is a playful take on sex and jealousy, love and relationships, monogamy and polyamory. A refreshingly up-to-date and sun-dappled homage to 1970s porn, this charming farce follows the erotic misadventures of a young couple, Felix and Emmi, when they set out to spend a weekend apart. (Directed by Maike Brochhaus, 2015, Germany, 84 minutes.)

Admission is $10 door/$8 advance per screening, $15 door/$12 advance for both; 18 and over only.
 
CineKink: PDX is presented in conjunction with Oregon Leather Pride, which runs August 5-14, 2016. Best Dramatic Short:
“Pepper”
It’s a painful awakening after an evening of fantasies explored. (Directed by Patrick Aubert, 2015, Canada, 7 minutes. Stars Chantal Bellavance, Frédérique Proulx and Eloïse Tanguay Simard.)

Best Comedy Short:
“Dad in Mum”
The middle of the night. Moans are heard behind the parents’ door. Two young sisters are asking questions… (Directed by Fabrice Bracq, 2015, France, 6 minutes.)

Honorable Best Mention:
“Everybody Does It”
A young woman takes her sexuality into her own hands–literally.

Best Documentary Short:
“Feminist Porn Filmmakers”
Explores the definitions of feminist porn, issues around genderqueer visibility, sex education, internet piracy and censorship. (Directed by Lora Hristova, 2015, United Kingdom, 28 minutes. Shot on location at the Berlin Pornfilm Festival, interviews include CineKink alumni filmmakers Jiz Lee, Shine Louise Houston, Petra Joy, Ms Naughty, Pandora Blake, Maria Bala, Lucie Blush and Alyx Fox, along with Audrey Fox and Yvette Luhrs.)

“Wild Lovers”
A beautiful day in the country with some sunshine and some rope.

One man spends his days in a chastity cage, locked away yet teased, loved and tormented, waiting for his release. Will it ever come? (Directed by René de Sans and Mamana, 2015, Germany, 4 minutes.)

Best Musical Short:
“RITES”
A young man is lured to NYC’s Black Party, where he lusts after the object of his obsession and experiments with the rituals of an underground society.

Best Narrative Short:
“An Appointment With My Master”
The fantasy: “I would love to find the Master of my dreams. I would set an appointment with him, I don’t know, once a month. Just like you do with a psychologist or a dentist or a hairdresser.” (Directed by Erika Lust, 2015, Spain, 15 minutes. Stars Amarna Millar and Mickey Mod.)

SCHNICK SCHNACK SCHNUCK
Winner – CineKink Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature/2016
A playful take on sex and jealousy, love and relationships, monogamy and polyamory, this charming farce is a refreshingly up-to-date and sun-dappled homage to 1970s porn. A long-term couple faces a weekend apart: Felix is set to hit a music festival with his buddy, Kai, and Emmi plans to stay home and grade papers. But the guys end up way off course and in the midst of tempting new company, while Emmi’s old friend, Magda, turns up with some intriguing revelations and a sex party in the works. Things naturally get a little out of hand – and everybody is naked in the end! (Directed by Maike Brochhaus, 2015, Germany, 84 minutes; Portland premiere.)
