Entry Deadline Approaches for CineKink’s 2014 “Bring It!” Adult Cinema Showcase

November 12, 2013 – RAHWAY, NJ – CineKink reminds adult industry filmmakers of the deadline for film entries for its 2014 “Bring It!” adult cinema showcase. As part of the “Pornapalooza” programming sidebar, “Bring It!” is an adult industry / porn showcase, held in February during the annual “kinky film festival” in New York.

“Bring It!” is seeking films and videos, 10 – 25 minutes in length, that explore and celebrate a wide diversity of sexuality, with specific emphasis on  and from the adult film industry. Submissions may also be excerpts from longer works. The offerings are intended to serve as a sampler of what styles of works are being created by current filmmakers in the adult industry. A winner will be selected from the ‘”Bring It!” showcase, determined by audience vote of those present for the screening.

“Since modern-day porn wasn’t created with a theatrical audience in mind, we began excerpting adult works as a way to share those films with our audience in a way they would more easily appreciate.” says Lisa Vandever, CineKink co-founder and director. “We’ve started to review some great submissions from the adult industry; we’d like to remind those who have yet to submit that though the final deadline is a month away, with the holidays, time will fly by fast.”

There is no restriction on production completion dates, as long as the work is completed at the time of submission. International submissions in most overseas formats are also accepted. While the regular deadline is November 15th, the final postmark deadline for submissions is December 12th. CineKink’s “Pornapalooza” programming, in addition to the “Bring It!” screenings, will also include works about porn and porn-making, as well as panel discussions. Past panels have included topics such as “Feminist Porn,” a discussion on ethical porn-making, and “The State of Smut: NYC.” Past “Bring It!” screenings have featured works by such directors as multiple ‘”Bring It!” award-winning Tristant Taormino, as well as additional winners Petra Joy and Courtney Trouble, along with Buck Angel, Eli Cross, Dominick Ford, Ernest Greene, Nenna Joiner, Kimberly Kane, Eddie Powell, Candida Royalle, Madison Young, and more.

Dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of sex-positive and kink-friendly depictions in film and television, CineKink is looking to blur boundaries and will be considering offerings drawn from both Hollywood and beyond, with works ranging from documentary to drama, camp comedy to artsy experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit – and everything in between. Cutting across orientations, topics covered at CineKink have included, but are by no means limited to, BDSM, leather and fetish, swinging, non-monogamy and polyamory, roleplay, gender bending, sex work, and sex geekery.

Scheduled for its 11th annual festival in February 2014, the specially-curated CineKink NYC will also feature a short film competition, audience choice awards, a special adult entertainment showcase/contest, a gala kick-off event, and a sexy closing-night party. A national tour follows the flagship festival in New York, showcasing audience favorites in cities across the country, adding visibility nationwide and year-round. The 2013 CineKink Festival Tour is currently underway, with screenings scheduled in such cities as Portland, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Berlin, and more.

CineKink is also seeking sponsors for its 2014 season. Sponsorship opportunities range from an all-encompassing Presenting Sponsorship to its $300 Gotham Sponsorship, allowing potential sponsors to support the festival at a variety of levels. Sponsors can expect to enjoy different levels of visibility as well as such perks as all-access VIP passes to screenings and parties.
