closing night tribute!
the opening of misty beethoven
Our closing night tribute showcases a meticulously restored version of Radley Metzger’s The Opening of Misty Beethoven, widely considered the greatest adult film of all time and the apex of porno chic.
In this erotic retelling of George Bernard Shaw’s classic play “Pygmalion,” the action is transplanted to 1970’s New York, Rome and Paris, following noted sexologist Dr. Seymour Love as he sets himself the challenge of transforming “lowly” streetwalker Misty Beethoven into the world’s greatest lover.
Directed by Radley Metzger, 1976, USA, 86 minutes. Starring Jamie Gillis, Constance Money and Jacqueline Beudant.
