Set against a sumptuous Barcelona backdrop and inspired by the real-life Poetry Brothel, based in New York, CABARET DESIRE weaves together several erotic vignettes, each introduced by a “poetry courtesan” at a bohemian gathering where readings, dance and music create a sensual vibe. A young woman grows tired of sexual labels and throws off having to choose. A poet recounts the unconventional escapades of his mysterious mother. At the brink of thirty, a woman looks at how her life has converged from the fantasies of her youth. AFTER FALL, WINTER (Eric Schaeffer, 2011, USA, 130 minutes. Stars Eric Schaeffer and Lizzie Brocheré.)
A sexy, poignant and at times darkly funny story about two people desperately seeking love. Michael, a once-successful writer now in the depths of financial ruin, decides to spend some time in Paris to find new inspiration and a break from his situation. To channel his frustrations, he often seeks out sexual domination, a proclivity he discloses to no one. Sophie, a young French hospice nurse, secretly moonlights as an upscale dominatrix, as much for a sense of control as for the extra money it affords. Both desperately want intimacy and ache for a connection that will change their lives. When they meet, their chemistry is instantaneous. Fear and fiercely-guarded truths, however, will doom their passion as surely as any star-crossed love.

SEXUALLY FRANK (Frankie Frain, 2011, USA, 92 minutes.)

Frank now spends all of his spare time making an “inappropriate” Internet video. His long-time girlfriend is being pressured to feel she should want to get married and have children. A gay friend gets dumped, ostensibly for throwing his cat off the bed, but that’s not really the issue. And their best friend, a balding, 24-year-old virgin, is quickly becoming a ‘creepy old man.’ Maybe it was a lot simpler during puberty…
